It is hard to find words significant enough....
Kane Joseph Parthemore passed away today. Breathing on his own in the arms of his father, and his mother at his side he left this world peacefully. Kane was 19 days old.
Aundrea called me around 11:30 am to let me know they were going to turn off the machines today. There was nothing more his doctors could do for him, the tears in his lungs were a major set back, and after four days with no improvement his doctors felt he wouldn't bounce back but continue to decline.
For the first time he had a bath, and was placed in a cute onesie with little doggies on it. Mom held her handsome boy for two hours while he was on the ventilator. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins were by his side to say their goodbyes and tell him they love him. When Mom and Dad decided it was time they were left alone with their son. Johnny held Kane as he came off the ventilator while Aundrea stood by his side. She said, he was by her side when Kane came into the world, she felt it was only appropriate she stood by his side as Kane was called to the Lord at 5:22pm.
Chad and I just came from their house, they want tell everyone they are holding up OK, and wanted to thank you for your unending love, prayers, and support. There will be a funeral mass for him at St. Josephs, I will post the details as I have them.
While his life may have been short, the imprint he left on all of our hearts will be everlasting.

Kane will be in our hearts always, he may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. he has taught so many people things in such a short amount of time. now its time for him to be with all the other angels and our grandmothers. you will be missed baby boy, im sorry i didnt know i would of been there to say good bye. but its not good bye we say, its see you soon. i love you little man....

Kane will forever be in our hearts, and I know he will be the best guardian Angel ever. I know he is in good hands now. He has your Nana, and my sister to watch over him. ReplyDeleteI read the tragic news this morning. I called Ernie and let him know and we both cried. By some miracle our son is a survivor and how I wish you had a better outcome with your beautiful son Kane. Words simply cannot express how sorry I am. I believe wholeheartedly that when we are born our names are written in "a book" When we have accomplished what we were sent to do on earth we go home to a much more beautiful place free from sin, pain, diseases etc... The 19 days you had Kane will be burned into your soul forever and one day you will be with him again because thru death we are given a new life. It does not ease your pain or anger and the fact that you want him here with you but he will always be with you in your heart. Believe it or not God did answer your prayers in His way. Kane is out of pain and when he moved on he left this earth with innocense, never exposed to the hate, lies, sin and all the things we live with.
The loss of a child...No greater pain exsists.
